back to blogging

Okay, I know I haven't updated in a while, but I've been real busy lately. What with the softball and the get-togethers and the hanging out, guh, flavin. Sorry, I was having a Frink moment there.(And by that, I mean Professor Frink for all you non-Simpsons watchers!) Anyway......I saw Pirates Of The Carribbean 2 tuesday night with Sam. It was a good movie, but it was very long(over 2 and a half hours), which made it very hard to follow. Apparently, one of the paper's local critics thought so too, gave it 2 and a half stars. I would've given it three, because of two factors, the acting, which was very good, and the special effects, which were incredible. Davy Jones(played by Bill Nighy?, is that his name?) and his crew looked like human- sea creature hybrids. Also, my sister lost her softball championship game last night, but she was okay with it. And now I have to go all the way out to another state for her tournament games on Fri. and Sat. The Fri. one starts at 6:30, and the sat. one starts at 8 in the morning. But other than that, today i'm pretty bummed. For one thing my friend/neighbor Jonny is to Iowa till Tuesday to visit his brother and his grandma. Whoo-hoo. And another thing, I have less than five hours to watch three episodes of Farscape before I leave. Speaking of which, my local UPN station just switched to My Network TV(Fox's answer to the CW. Losers.)about,2 weeks ago. But the good news is they still show Farscape!1 Whoo-Hoo!(Homer voice.) Well, gotta go. My dad's home. See ya.

sam's birthday

Today was my friend Sam's birthday. I called him but he hasn't called me back. And these two girls who i don't like but are his friends wrote a knock-off of Green Day's "Wake me up when September Ends" just for him. Sheesh. In other news(Kent Brockman voice) I think Robot Chicken's 2nd season ended. had some good sketches including my 2 favorites,"Rhymes for Borkw/The Swedish Chef"(who, incoincidentally, is one of the best Muppets ever!) and "8 Carrot" which had Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd in a rap battlew/ Daffy Duck(wahoo, wahoo, wahoo, waheeooo) as MC, and Porky Pig as DJ Bacon-Bits.(P-P-P-P-Put your hands in the air, and wave him like you j-j-j-j-just don't care. He-he-he-haaaaa.) Great show. Can't wait for next season!(End Kent Brockman voice) 2 things, though, I noticed Matt Murton looks a lot like Seth Green(creator of the show), and,I wish they would stop using Victor Yerrid for the Muppet voices in the Muppet spoofs. I mean, he's already taken over Statler from Steve Whitmire in From The Balcony, (great Muppet project), so why let him take over every other one's voice in Robot Chicken. It's wrong, just plain wrong!! I mean it! If anyone from Disney is reading this, stop it!!! Brimg back Whitmire, Dave Goelz(who does Waldorf), Bill Baretta(who does Pepe, and well, everyone else, on From The Balcony), and don't replace the Muppeteers.(If you want to vote against this, go to Save the Muppets.com.) And, speaking of Muppets, today,I found out that 2 Muppet books are to be written, What Elmo Taught Me, by Kevin Clash, and A Frog's life by, we assume, Kermit the Frog. Plan to get both of them. And Late Night Buffet, Henson's new late-night talk showw/ Brian Henson and Baretta as the main performers, will air on TBS. The pilot will be taped live on the 22nd. Wish I could go, but IT'S IN CALIFORNIAAAAA!!!!! Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that's about it. Now to watch the latest From The Balcony!!!!(Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy!) With the fake performers. BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I mean Whitmire and Goelz aren't dead or retired, so why replace them before that happens!!! Huh!!!!!!!! Restore the Muppeteers, Disney!!!!! Restore them!!!!!

back again

My dad's last day of work was yesterday. It's not that he's getting fired, he's starting a new job at this company that makes seals and gaskets(whatever those are). So we went out to dinner to celebrate, then came home and watched The Incredible Mr. Limpet. It's not that bad of a movie, plus it's with Don Knotts, who(was) one of the funniest comic actors alive. And today, I had to dig for sprinkler heads. Our system's been on the brink for the last year-and-a-half?, and now it's acting weird. Went to a mummies thing at the library yesterday. It was pretty fun. So,I'm just hanging out right here, in my house, trying to watch Farscape. But the VCR's not hooked up, but there's two more in this house, so it's all good. And my friend just invited me to go downtown next Tuesday, which I am. And now, as of Thursday, I've played all three Sly games. I own Sly 2, and I'm going to buy Sly 1 with one of my Best Buy gift cards from Christmas, long with the Dark Crystal, one of Jim Heson's greatest works ever!As for Sly 3, I'll just ask for it for my birthday/Christmas, along with a DS and some games for that, most notably New Super Mario Bros, which, I've heard, is awesome!!!!!!! See ya.
